Born into the noble Visconti family, he was the nephew of renowned director Luchino Visconti. Eriprando began his career assisting his uncle and other directors before making his directorial debut with A Milanese Story (1962). He is known for films such as The Lady of Monza (1969) and La Orca (1976), which often explored complex social and psychological themes. Visconti's work is noted for its narrative depth and stylistic elegance, contributing significantly to Italian cinema.
