Michel Fermaud was a French author, screenwriter, and film director. He co-directed Les portes claquent (1960) with Jacques Poitrenaud and co-wrote the screenplay for François Truffaut's The Man Who Loved Women (1977). His collaborations with notable directors and his own directorial ventures reflect his significant role in mid-20th-century French cinema.
